Hey everyone!!! My name is Diana and I started HippieClothes.com online in 1999. I love to sew and craft and have always made and sold/given away items for friends, family, and strangers. I started sewing in the 1970's since I was about six years old, taught by my grandmother.
How much do I love to sew??
As a child, I was asked what I wanted for Christmas, I would smile and say fabric and yarn! Of course I would get, "Are you sure", I was like yes, I can make myself some clothes and have scraps for purses and doll clothes! ( I was making and wearing my handmade clothes in 4th grade :)
Disneyland or a FABRIC STORE?
FABRIC STORE!!! The colours of fabric, the textures, I could see what item I would make by the feel, colour, and texture of fabric! Grandmother also showed me how to crochet and I still have the tiny crochet hook she gave me :) Yarn, I love too!!!
Why hippie clothes?
CREATIVITY! I can make fun wearable art! It's laid back, free of crazy "trends", limitless designs, cozy, pretty, durable, comfortable, and made with love. The clothing is timeless! You can relax, be yourself and wear happily and peacefully!!!
